Dropbox Passwords Preferences

Dropbox Passwords Preferences

Choosing 'Preferences' or 'Open Dropbox Passwords' from the tray icon of my Windows 10 PC both give the same result, opening the list. So how does one get to Preferences?

Hey, @Terry P., thanks for reaching out.

Are you seeing your Accounts list only, with no other options?

What setting are you looking for, or what would you like to be able to do?

If you can include a screenshot of what you’re seeing (omitting any personal or sensitive info), it would be great.

Let me know!

Hi Sanchez,

Embedding my screenshot displayed only part of it. So here also is a link:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/mp5ofnz3ztrq041/SameResult.jpg?dl=0

Please spell out exactly how to use the Photos icon. And why is it called that, instead of 'Image', and hovered pop-up 'Insert Image'? A screenshot is not a photo! The second time I tried it I used Upload, gave the link, and got a red message that it was an invalid file type - a JPG!

Anyway, to sum up: the Preferences option should obviously directly open the Preferences dialog window.

Hi @Terry P. - just to make sure that we cover as much ground as possible, are you taken to the desktop app's settings if you click on the Dropbox icon, select your avatar, and click on Preferences?

Hi Lusil,

Yes, from the Dropbox icon that gets me to Dropbox Preferences. But it's the Dropbox Passwords icon under discussion.

It's not a major issue. I'm just pointing out that clicking that icon and then Preferences does not open Dropbox Passwords Preferences! I can of course get to it by then clicking my avatar 'TP' and then Preferences.

Have you tried reinstalling the desktop app by any chance? Maybe that will do the trick.

Are you saying you cannot reproduce the minor bug I've described?

I'd recommend taking a better look into this with our Support team who'll be able to further investigate this with you.

Could you reach out to them by checking your options from this page?
