Dropbox Passwords browser extension doesn't work on some websites

Dropbox Passwords browser extension doesn't work on some websites

The new Dropbox Passwords browser extension that is replacing the desktop app simply doesn't work on some websites. The icon appears in the relevant fields but the contextual menu never appears, even on refreshing the page. Sometimes I get the prompt to unlock the extension but that's it.

So far I've noticed this on Google Work and vip.ventraip.com.au.

Happy Monday @Long Peter!

Could you specify if you tried clearing the cache on your browser when this happens?

Also, feel free to send me a screenshot, since I'd love to have visual of what you see n your end.

Cheers!

Hi Lori,

yes, I've tried clearing my cache and restarting the browser. I'll post a screenshot but there's nothing to see. That's really the problem. You click the icon in either field and nothing happens:

On Google Workspace, their two page login thing prefills the username but Passwords never supplies the password.

This is all on MacOS Big Sur 11.5.2 (20G95) running Firefox 91.0.2 (64-bit).

I have also had the browser integration periodically fail on iPhone, though I assume that is a different code base.

Update: still not working, now also display gibberish in the username field. I've partially blurred it out in case there is sensitive data in that string:
