Dropbox Slow When Multiple Explorer Windows Open

I was able to replicate this issue on two different machines running Windows 10 Pro, one on 1803 and the other 1809.

When 5+ Explorer windows are open and the Dropbox folder tree is expanded beyond the root folder in all of the Explorer sidebars; copying, renaming, deleting, editing a file/folder in any way inside the Dropbox folder, there is signifacant slow down and depending on the action all the Explorer windows might freeze for 10-20 seconds. Nothing ever crashes, but a 200Kb file might take 10+ seconds to copy to a new location on a NVME SSD all while locking up Explorer until it the transfer is completed.

Doing any of those actions outside of a Dropbox folder (i.e. only localy on the drive) completes normally in a fraction of a second like it's supposed to. 

I have tried turning off different folder view options in Explorer with no luck. Collapsing all of the Dropbox folder trees in the multiple Explorer's sidebars, and the problem goes away. 

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am also experiencing slowed Windows Explorer, as if it's constantly refreshing.

No, there hasn't been any progress on this issue. I have been in a continuous email back and forth with support and no solution has helped on multiple different PC's.
