For some reasnmy computer has two profiles /user/ira and user/ira000
It seems to be synicing to the ira000 which ould be correct but all of a sudden I am getting the permission error dialog can not start dropbox

Hey there @ikemp - sorry to hear about this.
I'm not sure if that's the case but, do you, by any chance, have roaming profiles implemented or have your C drive or the locations where Dropbox will live (like your home directory or any of the folders within it) shared over a network drive?
Does the active user profile on your computer have write permissions to the Dropbox Folder?
Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there!

Thiu machine does not logon to or is joined to a domain.
The active user profile is an admin
the
roots under permissions ie: \\IRA-LAPTOP\Users\ira.000 are shown as shared
owner being admin and miself
