Dropbox Upload speed Asia

Dropbox Upload speed Asia

Hi, I'm currently based in Hong Kong (Asia), and I want to use dropbox to back-up my videofiles (5GB-100GB per file).

I tried another Cloud storage, but I had speed-related issues because of the my location and their provider. The upload speed was between 1-3 mbps, so I couldnt upload big files. Where does Dropbox stores their data for if I purchase a Professional Plan, and how fast is the upload speed?

Hi there @XNE, thanks for reaching out to us here!

You can find out a little more info about where your data is stored from here.

For the upload speeds, this would depend on your Internet Service Provider (ISP) rather than Dropbox. You can check out more info about how you can improve upload speeds from here.

Since the speed is dependent on your current set up, I can suggest starting with the free Dropbox Basic account and try uploading a few items through the desktop app to see how it goes.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions!
