Dropbox Won't Start

Dropbox Won't Start

I recently got a new phone and must have removed some devices from the permissions tab. Thinking one of the devices was my home computer, I left it only to realize it was my old defunct laptop. Any time I go to start Dropbox, I'm met with a pop up that reads "Couldn't Start Dropbox. This is usually because of a permissions error. Storing your home folder on a network share can also cause an error...." With a link to a strew of code and to contact support. As this is a basic account, there's no direct help from Dropbox so, does anyone have a solve for this? I did try to pair it again via connect to no avail. Would I just need to start new account?

Hi @rjahfilms, thanks for posting on the Community!

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link?

Keep me updated with any progress!
