What am I supposed to do now? I tried following the permission denied error troubleshooting steps but it didn't do anything.

Hi @Lunatique, thanks for reaching out to us.

Have you also tried an advanced reinstall by any chance?

If you haven't, give that a shot and let us know how it goes. Cheers!

I don't think that's going to solve the problem, because it's an issue with my hard drive. My other cloud storage folders (OneDrive, Google Drive) are all suffering from the same problem, where I can't make any changes to the files/folders. My music and video download folders are having the same problem too, but other folders on that 😧 drive are fine, so it's isolated to just those folders. I think until this hard drive permission issue is fixed, there's nothing I can do about this Dropbox problem, unless I choose to move the folder to another location that's not affected.
