Dropbox crashes on startup Linux Mint 18.3

Helpful | Level 5

Hi, dropbox stopped working suddenly and with the strange error message below ending in

complaints about   "unexpected reloc type 0x00070007" in the file .dropbox-dist/dropbox-lnx.x86_64-41.3.77/libQt5Quick.so.5

Anyone else experiencing this?

BTW how do I get support from dropbox regarding this?

Thanks

Couldn't start Dropbox.
This is usually because of a permissions error. Storing your home folder on a network share can also cause an error.

This seems to be related to incompatibility between the toolchains (compilers, linkers) used to build the application.

Make sure you are using the correct installer and compilers relevant to your build .
