Dropbox does not start after installation macOS Catalina 10.15.7

Hello,

a couple of days ago i swapped the harddrive in my macbook pro for a bigger one. after cloning my old drive to the new internal drive everything was fine. but after a couple of days dropbox didn't start anymore. starting the app manually didn't work as well.

 

so i deleted the app and reinstalled it. no success. then i performed advanced reinstall like mentioned in other posts. no success. i already reinstalled dropbox several times in several different ways. no success.

 

the following symptoms are present. using the online installer works, but the app cannot be started. when i try the offline installer, the offline installer does not start at all. i am getting no failure messages or whatsoever.

 

can somebody please help me get this going again?? thank you

Hi @fishdrop; thanks for joining our Community!

Could you please temporarily disable any antivirus you may have running on your computer and try an advanced reinstall again?

Just make sure to use this installer upon that process
