Dropbox doesn't finish installation on Ubuntu 21.04

Dropbox doesn't finish installation on Ubuntu 21.04

Hello!

I'm trying to install Dropbox on Ubuntu 21.04, but it seems it can't finish the process. I've downloaded the .deb file, and successfully installed it, however, when I execute the installer it keeps downloading Dropbox daemon forever. It downloads very slowly, and then it just stops progressing. I've tried for hours, but it can't achieve even 20%. And the same is happening when I try to download through the terminal with the command below:

cd ~ && wget -O - "https://www.dropbox.com/download?plat=lnx.x86_64" | tar xzf -

Is there a problem with Dropbox servers? Or is it related to Ubuntu 21.04?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @elomarns, thanks for messaging the Community!

There is currently an issue with the Dropbox site and downloading files primarily.

This could possibly be related to your situation since you're trying to download the installer for the Dropbox desktop application.

The team is currently working on this matter to resolve it.
