Hi there,
After updating to latest version of Windows (1909) the Dropbox desktop is not working anymore. It keeps syncing and nothing is happening. Also syncing (uploading) doesnt work. It works after rebooting my computer, but after a while it stops sycning and files are unaccessable. It completely stops and shuts down dropbox. After pc reboot dropbox is running again, and after a couple of minutes the same problem comes. Reinstalling and logging in again, did not solve.
My Dropbox version is 89.4.278
I installed a previous version, 87.4.138, seems to work fine but updates automatically to newest build.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem? It is useless in this situation and very annoying...
Thanks for supporting!

Hi Fiona,
Thanks for your reply!
I have tried the procedure that you described, but unfortunately was not the solution. But, i found out what the solution was and this is hopefully also the solution for other people with this sync problem. What causes the sync problem is that the .exe files having trouble to sync while dropbox detects these files and this will disturb the downloading of other files i want to open.
If these .exe files are compressed as zip file and restored on the dropbox server, there isn't an issue anymore with syncing. So zipping all the exe files should be the solution and my dropbox is working perfectly now and a lot faster.
Thank you anyway for your help!
Happy to support you @jpbeermann!
Thanks for reporting.
Truth is we need to have the latest version running there, but thanks for trying to troubleshoot with the previews version and reinstalling.
Since you've already tried reinstalling I would like us to try an advanced reinstall.
This should solve the issue. If it doesn't please get back to me with screenshots of the files being inaccessible and the error message you are getting when it crashes.
Keep me posted. Have a nice week!
