I have a Dropbox folder on my Mac and have had trouble synching it with a remote (PC) desktop. I managed to synch it, but now on my Mac's dropbox folder, I don't see any of my other folders. I see the folder that updated from my remote PC and also a couple of files that were not in folders, but no folders.
I can see them and access them on my phone and on the browser version of Dropbox.
I've tried quitting dropbox, restarting my computer, unlinking and relinking and nothing has worked so far.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hey @Chowes,
Can you check to see if these folders have perhaps been selectively synced? You can find this by:

Hey there @Chowes,
It could be that the folder may contain a character that your OS system can't sync. Can you take a look at this article which notes all of those characters and rename the folder to remove any of them.
Otherwise, can you let me know the current sync status and version of the desktop app that you have installed on your Mac?
Let me know what you find - thanks!

Hi! Thanks for replying.
I don't think it's the characters issue becasue the folders were there before and they just disappeared after I was able to synch my one shared folder on my Mac and remote PC desktop.
The status is up to date. The version of the desktop app is v80.4.126.
any other ideas?
Hey @Chowes, thanks for checking that!
Firstly, I'd suggest double checking the account you're signed into on both desktop apps is under the same email address (just so we can exclude that as a possibility).
Also, can you check for any syncing issues reported by the app on the Mac by:
Keep me posted on what you find - thanks!

Hi! Sorry for the delay and thanks for your help.
I am signed in under my email on my Mac. On the PC remote desktop, it's actually just a shared folder within my work group, so I am not signed in there at all.
Nothing showed up under "View sync issues."
What else can I check?
