Dropbox is slow in folder creation and file rename

fastredcars New member | Level 2

When I am in my Windows 7 Dropbox Folder (the folder that sync to the web) simple operations like "Create a Folder" or "Rename a File" take a long time (10-15 sec) compared to the same operation on an folder not associated to Dropbox.

I understand Dropbox must sync this operations in real time with the web, but I was wondering if there are configuration options (either in Windows 7 or Dropbox itself) that would speed up these activities.

Let me know,

Thanks

I am on Windows 7 64-bits with the Dropbox 61.4.95.

FYI I have already changed the Dropbox Bandwidth parameter to "Don't limit" for both download and upload.

Thanks

Same issue here. Win10 x64, Dropbox 62.3.99, loads of memory and disk space.

Totally freezes explorer when remaning files or folders, even ones with just a couple of files inside.
