Dropbox is storing Messages in Dropbox Folder. How do I turn this off?

Dropbox is storing Messages in Dropbox Folder. How do I turn this off?

I was kind of horrified to find my MacOS Messages chats being stored in Dropbox box?

This is terrible!

How did this get enabled and how do I turn it off?

Hey @rayboston, let's look into this issue together!

In order for the app to sync content to the Website, you would need to move or copy files into the Dropbox folder. Once Dropbox sees changes in the Dropbox folder, it automatically syncs them.

Do you see the content synced on the Website as well?

If you wish to send me a screenshot of the issue, feel free to do so, just make sure no personal info is visible!

Let me know, and we'll take it from there!

Hi Lori,

Turns out this was operator error.  The messages were not in the Dropbox folder, they were in the library.

Sorry about that.

Ray
