Dropbox no longer showing transfer rate when uploading files on PC

Dropbox no longer showing transfer rate when uploading files on PC

Hi, So today I noticed that Dropbox on Windows 7 shows the files are uploading as "0.1 files/sec", "0.0 files/sec", etc. Can we have the upload/download speeds back please? "1051 MB/sec" is much better. This new method is terrible at gaging how well my Internet is working.

Hey @Kevan P., thanks for reaching out to us here!

Would you mind letting me know which version of the desktop app you have installed?

If you're running a beta version denoted with xx.3.xxx can you try downgrading to the latest stable version with the following steps:

  1. Toggle off "Early releases" at the bottom of your account settings page here.
  2. Download and install the latest stable from here.

Let me know what you find!

I was running 90.something. I downloaded the latest stable, 89.4.278, and transfer rate when uploading files is back. Hopefully this does not go away when version 90 becomes stable.

I'm glad to hear that did the trick @Kevan P.!

I've made note of your feedback on this difference you noticed in the beta version of the app too.

If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to give me a nudge here, I'd be happy to help out.

Have a great day! :rainbow:
