Dropbox not opening after copying to new windows 10 laptop

I copied my apps and files from my windows 7 laptop to my new windows 10 laptop using Laptop PC Mover.  I thought all applications copied successfully but when I try to open my Dropbox, nothing happens.  I went to the Dropbox website and the new laptop is recognized. Why can't I open my Dropbox?

You normally can't copy an application from one computer to another without installing it. There are parts to the program that wouldn't transfer over through a normal copy process.

Is this what you actually did? If so, you'll need to download and install the Dropbox client on the new computer. If you want to avoid resyncing all your files, you can pause syncing as soon as it's installed, then copy the content of teh Dropbox folder on the older comptuer to the Dropbox folder on the new computer, then resume syncing.
