Dropbox usually works like a charm for me, but recently it just stopped syncing and all files are just stuck with the blue "syncing" while the app icon itself says "Syncing...". I have tried restarting both PC and the app itself. I have looked for updates, for both the app itself and the boxifier app I am also using. None of these were, to my knowledge, updated recently and no updates were needed either. I have tried turning off my VPN to no avail as well. Restarting the internet source as well. I have also cleared the dropbox cache. Still no solution.
Does anyone out there have any ideas that I have missed?

Razvan here, one of the founders of Boxifier. We are aware of a current incompatibility between Dropbox and Boxifier that affects Dropbox users with a specific Dropbox account configuration. The team is working on adding support for this new Dropbox account configuration. The fix for this will be released as an update for the Boxifier application and pushed to Boxifier users via the update channel.

That's some great troubleshooting there! Please just try the steps below to see if this does the trick:
If this doesn't resolve the issue, please follow the steps again and instead click "Fix permissions".
The app might need to sync for a while after doing this, so please just keep an eye out for any progress.

When you navigate to the "Account" tab, you'll need to hold the Space bar on your keyboard to see the two options. Can you let me know if you see them when doing this?

I tried holding the space bar down but after 10 seconds I resigned to conclude that no such options pop up. Any idea how to progress from here?
atually you can show/hide this option using the space bar.
So first click on Account to show its preferences.
Afterwards click the space bar once to show these options.
When you click it again they will disappear ...
Note: if it's still not working (the space bar doesn't effect anything), then left-click into the window to focus upon it. Then click space again.
