Dropbox syncs, Finder integration is enabled, but green checkmarks do not show in Finder

Helpful | Level 6

Mac OS 10.13.3, 2015 iMac, Dropbox 42.4.114.

Attempts to fix:

1) Unlinked and relinked Dropbox;

2) Downloaded app to reinstall;

3) used the procedure at https://www.dropbox.com/help/syncing-uploads/incorrect-file-permissions to fix permissions (NOTE: terminal complained: "/Users/blabla/.dropbox-master: No such file or directory"; all else proceeded normally).

4) Checked System Preferences>Security & Privacy>Accessibility, Dropbox is there and active.

Still no green checkmarks.

What can I try next?

Thanks.

Re: Dropbox syncs, Finder integration is enabled, but green checkmarks do not show in Finder - FIXED

Solved. When I restarted my Mac in Safe Mode (holding the Shift key at startup), the green Dropbox checkmarks reappeared.

I uninstalled all third party extensions and restarted -- no Dropbox checkmarks again.

Finally, I went to Preferences>Extensions>Finder: there were two entries, Dropbox Finder Integration and Sophos Home Finder Scan and both were checked. I *un*checked Sophos Home Finder Scan and the Dropbox green checkmarks in the Finder instantly reappeared

Who knew?

Ta-Da.
