Dropbox up to Dropbox business: working without Office365 possible?

Dropbox up to Dropbox business: working without Office365 possible?

New member | Level 2

An employee work with Word, Excel...before we changed into Dropbox business. Now she can't open her own built files. There's a message, that she need Office 365. She won't buy Office. Why Dropbox don't work properly as mediastorage, not as program?

Hi there @Adrian3110, I hope you're doing well today!

With a Dropbox Business account, Microsoft requires you to have an enterprise Microsoft account that will allow you to use the Office Online options.

Since you were using a personal Dropbox account before, you wouldn't have been required to have a Microsoft account to use Office Online.

You can check out more info on this here under the section "Do I need a special license to edit my Dropbox files in an Office Online application?".

Let me know if this helps!
