Dropbox installs & integrations

Hello.
I can edit the registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlayIdentifiers (as per https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-installs-integrations/I-can-t-see-any-sync-icons-next-to-my-...) to have both Dropbox and Carbonite icon overlays prioritized as the ten or fifteen first overlays, but Windows won't show both of them simultaneously.
I expected to see Dropbox icon overlay on the bottom right side of the folder/file icon (as per https://help.dropbox.com/pt-br/installs-integrations/sync-uploads/sync-icons) and Carbonite's on the bottom left side and hoped editing the registry would solve the matter.
As far as I see, the problem in https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-installs-integrations/Latest-Windows-Update-casued-DropBox-c... and http://www.itwriting.com/blog/9456-the-battle-to-own-windows-explorer-shell-overlay-icons-or-why-you... remains.
Is it so?
Thanks.
I'm very well indeed @Roberto_Blatt!

Hi there @Roberto_Blatt, I hope you're having a good day so far!
From what I could find, this is a limitation of the OS where you can only have one overlay icon showing at a time. You can check out a little more info from here.
In this case, I'm afraid that what you'd like to achieve wouldn't be possible and you would only be able to show one overlay icon or the other.
Having said that, I can suggest reaching out to Microsoft Support if you'd like to look into this further as this is down to the settings of your device rather than Dropbox.
Sorry that I can't be of further help with this, but do let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!

Hi, Daphne.
I am doing OK, thanks! Hope you are also doing well!
It seems it is a dead end... https://devblogs.microsoft.com/oldnewthing/20190313-00/?p=101094
But I am asking MSDN forum anyway.
ANd maybe if Dropbox would enable it's icon overlay to really be shown n the bottom right side, than both overlays, Dropbox's and Carbonite's, could be shown.
Thanks

Hello! Looks like we need the same feature to be implemented. Check out my idea https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-ideas/Add-option-to-disable-icon-overlays-in-Windows-Explore...

Sorry, Daphne.
I've just seen your answer today.
This feature would be enough.
Thanks
