I have the same exact issue as these people here:
Dropbox worked since I installed (back in April, brand new computer) but as of today I wasn't able to see the icon on the bottom right. I uninstalled it and re-installed it several times but no luck.
I had to uninstall Boxifier and now lets me finish the setup!
