Dropbox won't open on my Mac and can't be uninstalled, any help?

Dropbox can't open on iMac. I can't click on icon in taskbar beach ball spinning. Can't uninstall or move to trash as says app is open. I get this error message:  bn.BUILD_KEY: Dropbox

Hey there @Russhel, thanks for reaching out to us here!

 

From what I can see, it looks like you have a very old version of the desktop app installed there which could be causing the issue during the launch of the app.

 

Could you try downloading the latest version of the app from here to see if that does the trick?
