File Editing

Emily9192

Hello,

I have a PowerPoint in my Drop Box account. When I try to edit it online it says "edit" and I begin to work on it and none of the edits save. It does this every time I open and edit the PowerPoint document. I cannot download the PowerPoint because it will revert to my old outdated Office. I currently have an updated Online Web Based Version of office. Can someone help me understand how to open and edit this document online?

Hi @Emily9192 - thanks for posting on our Community!

Could you please let me know if you're getting any different results after clearing your browser's cache or on another browser

Also, is PowerPoint listed in your Connected Apps tab?

Keep me posted, Emily.

Hi Walter,

I opened the PowerPoint in a new browser, cleared cache cookies, and then did incognito window as well and I still cannot edit it. When I open it it says that I can edit and then after a few slides the version changes to view only with an error message at the top that states, "Changed cannot be saved in this file: To keep your changes and continue editing, download a copy of the file." I'm not able to download due to it reverting to old software that I cannot use.

Thanks for the additional information, Emily.

I'm sorry to repeat myself, but did you check if PowerPoint is listed in your Connected Apps tab?

Also, what device are you using to do this?
