Getting Otter app folder visible on Finder

Getting Otter app folder visible on Finder

I want to view an external app's folder in my Finder (Otter.ai) so I can drag or download a recording right in my Finder to start Otter transcribing that file. The Otter app is already connected, and I see it in Dropbox.

How to get that folder to show in Finder?

OS 10.14.6, not making the leap to 10.15 yet. Thanks.

Hi there @Will D.; thanks for posting on our Community!

When you say this 3rd party app is connected to your account, can you clarify if you can see it in your Connected Apps tab

If you see the app's folder on our website, it should also be visible through our desktop app.

Can you let me know if the app reports to be up to date in your menu bar?

Thanks!

Hey Walter,

Thanks for jumping in. I just let this lie until today, when I recorded another podcast episode, and, on verifying that DB is up to date, noodled around on Prefs from the menubar icon and found how to get the Otter app folder to show on my Finder. Boom, fixed!

Sometimes just getting away from a vexing problem for a bit of space is all it takes to see things more clearly!
