Getting a message "Moving Dropbox" on the desktop app

Getting a message "Moving Dropbox" on the desktop app

My desktop Dropbox application on my Mac laptop will not sync. The app just keeps looking like it is trying to update, but what I see is: "Moving Dropbox". What can I do?

It sounds like you’re running the beta version of the app.

To install our latest stable version, uncheck the box next to "Early releases” here.

Then re-download the app and install it.

Keep us posted!

Hi Stephanie, could you forward a screenshot (while hiding any personal data on the screen) showing the error message you’re getting to investigate further?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the image. Have you recently made any changes to your Dropbox account or folder, such as upgrading to a paid plan or team?

Could you also confirm the version of the Dropbox desktop application you're running?

You can do this by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in the system tray or menu bar. It should say something like 79.4.

Keep me posted!

Hi Jay. I recently changed my Dropbox account, not to the folder itself. I also downloaded and installed version 80.3.11 for the desktop application.
