Hi all, apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place. I've recently started using Dropbox and found that my laptop qualifies for the 12 months free 25gb of dropbox storage, and having tried to activate it on my laptop it keeps coming up with an error that I need to upgrade to a better web browser. I have always exclusively used chrome and it is set as my default browser. No amount of fiddling and faffing has resolved this, and I am only trying to add the activation. Does anyone have any idea how I can add the 25gb offer to my account?
Kind regards,
Liam

Hi Lusil, apologies for the delay in replying I have been working crazy hours! I have today updated chrome and even installed firefox, and updated microsoft edge and windows explorer and tried a combination of all three browsers and still get the same error warning and am totally unable to claim the 25gb offer for some reason. It still pops up that the browser is unsupported and I am unable to claim the offer no matter what I have tried.
Thanks again for your help,
Liam

Hi Dropbox, I have been having the same issue as well and tried all the things that you told Lusil to try as well. I was wondering if any of you at Dropbox could open a ticket for me so we could have a look into trying to resolve the issue.
Thanks!

Hi Walter,
I am so sorry for the late response. I was very busy with school work and I am now free on winter break. I just went over all the things you sent to me in the email and I will post the list here. There is no device connected to my account because the downloaded dropbox on my HP computer is not working and is posting an error message that I am attaching with this message. I bought this device brand new back in 2016. Dropbox came pre-installed and still says "Special Dropbox 25 GB offer" when I click on dropbox to open it but it gives me an error message saying that my browser is too old even though Chrome is up to date. I did not sign in with any other account and my mobile carrier is T-mobile. I am sending you a screenshot of both how it says "Special Dropbox offer" and "Error 409".
