How can I stop camera uploads on my desktop?

How can I stop camera uploads on my desktop?

I want to stop photos being transfered from an sd card to Dropbox on my Windows laptop but when I click on the Dropbox icon in my taskbar, and click my name, all I see is my name and "Owner". No preferences, no gear icon. Help please.

Thanks for getting back to us here @Marion5!

If you have uploaded/synced the files and folders with your Dropbox account online, when you reinstall the app then it would simply download the files in your account online to the local Dropbox folder created by the app.

Let me know if this helps!

Hi @Marion5, thanks for messaging the Community!

It sounds like you're not accessing the correct icon to view the Dropbox desktop application preferences. The system tray icon can be found here, and the settings you need to stop the camera uploads would be here.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi. I've managed to change it within the Windows settings, thanks.

If I do need to download/re-download Dropbox at a later stage, would I loose all my folders/files within Dropbox?
