How can I stop the desktop app's prompt to link an account on my computer?

How can I stop the desktop app's prompt to link an account on my computer?

Help.  Everytime I open my laptop I get a pop-up screen from Dropbox- it's trying to link to an account.  I don't want one! I don't have one (I did). I've tried going into account settings- I don't have one but it wants me to upgrade.  I've tried quitting the app but that doesn't stop the pop-ups either!

As long as the Dropbox application is installed, it will start with your computer and prompt you to link to an account. If you don't want an account and have no plans to in the future, uninstall the application.
