How to get my personal account syncing again after trialing Business Account

New member | Level 2

Hi,

I have been an personal drop box user for many years. and recently decided to try the business account. After a month i decided that it woudl be eaiser to try and use google's servcie since am currently using all their other services. so i discontinued the bueinssa ccoutn on Drop Box. the problem now is since i did this.  becuase i am no longer paying my personal account also has stopped syncing as I am over the data limit.

How do i get the persoanl account (Free) working again, so my personal files sync again? Is it just a matter of deleting the files i have in the business folders, or do i need to do somethign more to make this happen?

Many thanks!

Derrick

Hey @drock88, I hope you're having a good day so far!

If you're currently over your space limit, you'll need to remove some data from your account to bring you under the space limit so that your account can sync.

With the desktop app you can move the data out of the Dropbox folder to another location on your computer. This way, you keep a copy but remove it from Dropbox.

Also, just out of curiosity, when the Business trial ended did your account end up in a locked state? This can prevent your account from syncing too.

Let me know - thanks!
