How to re-enable the warning when I delete files on my Mac?

How to re-enable the warning when I delete files on my Mac?

I just noticed a new feature on Dropbox (version 51.4.66) on my Mac - I deleted a folder inside my Dropbox folder (moved it to the trash) and I was presented with a dialog asking me if I wanted to delete the file just from the computer I was using, or from everywhere.  There was a checkbox next to "Don't show this again".  I checked that box, but on reflection I would like to see that warning when I delete files.  So how can I re-enable that warning on my Mac?

Hey there (@Buchet), have you been able to reach a resolution in regards to your initial concern? Please let me know if this has been fixed or you need further assistance in any way & we'll take it from there. Also, are you facing the same issue by any chance Philip (@Philip N.)? Looking forward to hearing back from you both here & have a wonderful rest of your Monday until we talk again!

Hey @daweielufa, sorry to hear about any frustration caused & thanks for taking the time to poke me here- rest assured that I'm here to help you as much as I can on my end!

For starters, I’m wondering if you’ve had a chance to try any of the steps we’ve suggested with Jay on the previous page. Would you mind giving our advice a go whenever you find a bit spare time?

If you’ve already done so, please do let me know of the results in your next message, just in order to take it from where you’ve left off on your end. I look forward to hearing back back from you!

From a support chat:

Open Preferences
Now let's move to the Account tab
There, click anywhere on the free space (but not on any buttons), and press Alt+H on the keyboard
Press the magic "Reset File System Warnings" option.
Apply/ OK and close the dialogue.

(DO NOT PRESS "Fix permissions", it will re-index your entire Dropbox, which will take A Very Long Time)
