I can't see the Dropbox menu properly. Can you help?

I opened a basic Dropbox account, downloaded Dropbox and installed Dropbox.

When I open Dropbox from the icon on my desktop, I see on the screen the file explorer with the Dropbox line open.

When I sighn in from the explorer i see on the screen the dropbox menu.

What can I do in order to see the dropbox menu when I open the Dropbox icon.

I'm not exactly sure to what you're referring to; could you send us a screenshot of what's bothering you so we can have a better look into this?

Thanks for answering me.


The first screen you see below is what I see when I click the dropbox icon
The second is what I see when I sighn in with the explorer, and what i would like to see when I click on the dropbox icon.

Thanks for the screenshots @elish!

 

Can you just clarify for me, are you single clicking the Dropbox icon in the bottom left corner of your screen next to the time display?

 

I'm wondering if perhaps you may have a shortcut to the Dropbox folder in another location on your computer that you're clicking on.

 

If this is the icon that you're clicking on, can you try right clicking the icon instead and let me know what you see then?

Hi Daphne

Thank you for answering me.
I was double clicking the Dropbox icon on my desktop, The icon which was created when I installed dropbox.

My menu is now OK. 
My husband shared dropbox libraries with me, and the first time I double clicked on the dropbox iconת after I accepted, the menu was OK.
I dont know what was wrong, and what made it OK, but I am glad it is OK now.
