I can't set up my ReadyNAS to sync with Dropbox. Any ideas?

Unable to get Netgear ReadyNAS Dropbox sync to turn on. I had it working great a few months ago but now after going through the Add App/Authorize process it appears to be stuck in "(Pending)" mode. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is? My thanks in advance!

Thanks for offering to assist Walter. I perform the following:

  1. Click the "On" button under the Dropbox app in the ReadyNAS Cloud page
  2. Click the "Allow" button the popup (ss1.png)
  3. Click the "Agree" button in the second popup (ss2.png)
  4. Refresh the Dropbox Connected Apps page to see the ReadyNAS Cloud Storage app listing with "Full Dropbox (Pending)" notice. (ss3.png)
  5. Nothing happens and the connected app disappears after about 20 minutes. The "On" button is never highlighted in the ReadyNas Cloud page
  6. Everything is up to date and healthy with the ReadyNAS (ss4.png)ss1.pngss2.pngss3.pngss4.png

Thanks for getting back to me so swiftly and with all these details @EduCase!

As I'd like to cover all bases here, can you please try this after clearing your browser's cache and/or on another browser (preferably with no extensions or plugins running)?

Let me know if you get the same results!

Same results after trying the following:

  1. Cleared Chrome cache (latest version), turned off extensions, tried the process again but got the same Dropbox "Pending" result with no changes on ReadyNAS > Cloud > Dropbox (button still off)
  2. Tried Firefox (latest version), turned off extensions, tried the process again but got the same Dropbox "Pending" result with no changes on ReadyNAS > Cloud > Dropbox (button still off)

Thanks for giving this a go for me!

If you've verified that this isn't caused by your configuration (connection and set-up) and also checked with the developers of the app that's everything's OK from their end, I'd like to move your post to our API section in the hopes that some other members of our Community will be able to assist further at this point.

Is it possible it's a router or DNS issue? Thanks for helping and I look forward to hearing any other suggestions from the community.

Your best bet really is to contact Netgear Support. Since they're the ones that created the Dropbox app on their device, they're the only ones that will be able to look into the issue. Dropbox provides the API used, but Netgear creates and supports the app on the device.
