Can you let me know what issue you run into when you try sign into the mobile app? If you're getting an error, please send a screenshot of this excluding any personal info such as your email address.
Also, can you let me know which Plan your account is currently on? You can check this from your Plan page here.
If you happen to be on a Basic plan, perhaps this issue could be related to having more than 3 devices connected to your account.

Can you let me know what version of the mobile app you have installed? You can see this by going to your Settings > General > iPhone storage > Dropbox.
Also, what OS version is your device running at the moment?

Are you having this issue when your device is connected over WiFi @Jlynes, or when using cellular data?
If you can try using another WiFi connection or cellular data if you haven't already, can you sign in then?
If this doesn't do the trick, please try reinstalling the mobile app on your phone.
