I don't like the Dropbox Badge

I don't like the Dropbox Badge

Why do companies do things which really annoy their paying customers without consulting first? Does your 'decorator' paint your doors pink then say "we thought you would like it"...
Give us new dropbox resources but dont annoy us by forcing it on us. It is now turned off.

Ditto, Dave.  The last thing I need is another annoying popup. This is the Microsoft paperclip all over again.

Dropbox: try asking first!

I  agree.  IT  is constantly getting in the way so I have to stop what I am typing and try to move it.  Its a good idea, just a terrible layout.

Ugh, somehow I never got it until just now, but when I did, I couldn't get rid of it. Dropbox, if you are going to inflict an annoying UI thing on us, at least make it obvious how to remove it, without having to google the answer.

Agreed.  Hate to say it, but "Dropbox Badge: Do Not Want".  It would have been less obtrusive if you just popped it up in your usual system tray area, and ONLY when there is a risk of conflict (e.g. if someone else has the document open).  The other features it exposes are useless as I prefer to do these through the traditional Explorer context menu.

Please stick to your roots of being simple, doing just ONE thing, and doing it well.

(ps. One exception to that - I miss Votebox, it was a great tool)
