I have an error “Your account cant be updated to leave the shared workspace. To continue syncing your dropbox account, close the following files or folders:

C:\Users\Owner\Dropbox

Could you forward a screenshot showing this error message you're receiving?

Is this when you're trying to install the app on your computer?

Any other info would be helpful!

Cant Sync Dropbox Account

 

“Your account cant be updated to leave the shared workspace. To continue syncing your dropbox account, close the following files or folders:

C:\Users\Owner\Dropbox

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link?

is there any way someone can walk me through this process. I am not computer savvy enough to maneuver the steps.

Thanks for the image, could you click that blue link at the bottom of the error message to view the error log, and then copy and paste it in a reply on the forum?

Currently, we only provide incoming phone support for team admins of Dropbox Business subscriptions.
