I'm getting a message "Dropbox Update installation failed with error 0x80040c01". What should I do?

Explorer | Level 3

This message (Dropbox Update installation failed with error 0x80040c01) has started popping up on my computer on a regular basis. How can I update it manually? Please help me resolve it.

Hey there (@Artlex), while I was able to find more information about the circumstances surrounding the issue you’re describing us on this Microsoft help article, it seems that the message you’re seeing is generated by your Operating System, so you could reference the steps outlined on the resource I linked above to resolve it.
