I currently use win 10 and after updating i am getting a permission error from dropbox

I did the cmd copy paste prompts but the app still is not opening
Hi @cwill257, thanks for posting today!
This is generally an issue when the antivirus or security software is a little too sensitive and is preventing any changes to the Dropbox app.
Could you try temporarily disabling it to see if you can update the app again?

i disabled my virus protection and downloaded the software after two times i got it to download but now it doesnt open
Do you get any error message when it fails to open?
Try temporarily quitting the antivirus completely to see if this helps, since there might still be some part of it running in the background.

i didnt get any message the app would simply not open as far as the virus program i turned it off completly
It does sound like there's still some issue with the antivirus, which could be preventing the app from loading. Check this article to see if your antivirus is listed there.
If not, I'd recommend contacting the antivirus developers for further assistance on what could be preventing the app from loading.
