I'm having trouble navigating through the desktop app

I'm having trouble navigating through the desktop app

I've tried installing the desktop dropbox app several times on my mac. When I finish, the icon only appears in the rocket launcher menu, but when I click to open it, nothing happens... it just brings me back to the desktop, nothing opens. I don't have this issue with any of the other desktop apps. I've already confirmed that that I have an apfs hard drive. Please help. I'm trying to make my dropbox files accessible on my computer so I can update files and have them back up to my dropbox account.

The icon in the Applications menu literally runs the app, which is what you see in the menu bar.

You can only have one Dropbox account at a time connected to the desktop app, unless you’ve connected a personal and work account together.

Hi there, could you confirm that the Dropbox icon appears in the menu bar at the top of the screen? Can you click it and view preferences and so on via the gear icon?

Any details you can provide would be great!

Hello,

Thank you - yes, the icon appears in the menu at the top of the screen, which I didn't notice before. Unfortunately, I don't seen option to link a new dropbox account to my computer. Is it not possible to link a second account?

Meanwhile, the other icon still doesn't open dropbox.

Okay, thank you - That's a bit confusing since the expectation is that a new window would open upon double-clicking the larger icon. Now I see there isn't much to to the desktop app and that you can only open it with the grayscale icon at the top.

No worries, the app has all the info you need to access the settings there.
