Dropbox installs & integrations

It seems, I have to do this two to three times a year. I use to be able to Delete the Dropbox App abnd Re-install it and it will ask me where the folder is located and everything is ry-synced.
Now it seems that this doesn't work, because Dropbox has remembered everything. I am having bad syncing, non proper icons showing, Sync to Cloud not working, and a whole host of issues.
How do I restore everything from this?
Hi @gospelmusicians - how are you today?
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with re-installing desktop app.
Why don't you try a clean, advanced re-install instead of the simple re-install process?
Let me know how it goes!

Didn't know there was an advanced Clean. Would be cool to have an Apple Script that does this or put this as a part of the Dropbox App Tools.
I'll give this a shot.
