As previous noted in this post, using 'Save to Dropbox' on IOS - latest Dropbox app updated, latest IOS patched - results in the file name of the saved file not retaining the original file name but 'File DD-MM-YYY time' with no file extension. This behaviour has been apparent for about a month, before which the file names were correctly saved.
Hey there @NoneMoreNegativ - sorry to hear about this.
Could you please tell me the steps you take that result to this behavior and if possible provide some screenshots of the problem? Also, does this happen for all files or only some?
Let me know, including any piece of information you think might help our investigation and we'll take it from there. Thanks!

Hi, Walter
Not every file type, but I dropped a series of screenshots here displaying the behavior. I can rename the file name before saving to get around the issue but I'd rather not have to.
Cheers
NMN
Thanks for the additional information @NoneMoreNegativ - much appreciated.
Would you mind if I reached out to you via email to have a look into this internally?

Same issue. They are renaming my excels to some number.xlsx while saving to dropbox.
Could you post a screenshot of the before and after @ankitgoel888?
If that's not possible (I understand you wouldn't like to post personal information), would it be OK if I reached to your Dropbox associated email address to have a further look into this?

I'm having the same issue...when I'm in Chrome and click the upload button, I select "Save to Dropbox" and the "File DD-MM-YYY time" with no file extension appears. I've been renaming everything but wondered if there was another way it would automatically pull the information.
Sorry to hear that @megbunner.
As it seems that your browser is acting up, could you try another one and let me know if you get the same results?
You could also try clearing your browser's cache and/or an incognito window with no extensions or plugins for troubleshooting's sake.
If the matter at hand remains, a screenshot of a test file that's showing this behavior would be very much appreciated as it would help me get a bettter view.
Let me know what you find!
