Installing on new computer without download automatically starting

New member | Level 2

I have a new laptop coming and I'll be installing Dropbox on it. It has an SSD that has less capacity than my other computers. I want to be able to install Dropbox with Smart Sync enabled by default, and not start downloading automatically.  Is there any way to do this?

Hey @shelleyp; welcome to our Community!

This should be easy as you'll get the option to set up your syncing settings upon installing our desktop app on your new computer.

If you don't get the option to use Smart Sync then, you can pause the syncing process and enable it through the app's preferences instead.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
