When syncing problems, I used to use Preferences/Account/option/Unlink This Computer/Fix Permissions. but doesn't work taht way anymore (since the MacOs Big sure update?). Is there an other (new) way to Fix Permissions?
Hi there @martine ter Linden, thanks for posting your question here.
Just to make sure that we're on the same page, are you able to follow these steps to fixing permissions and hardlinks?
Have a look and let me know how it goes, cheers!

Thanxs Lusil for answering! But it still doesn't work..... This was the way I knew but doesn't work anymore. In the account tab I can't click, only sign out and hold down the option key doesn't work. It happens a few times a week, it takes a lot of time to remove everything and install again..... the dropbox app is grey and it always stops syncing around 6000 files. There are no problems mentioned in the sync problem report. Hope you have other solutions.......🥴
Hey @martine ter Linden, do you possibly have 2 "options" keys on your keyboard?
If so, can you let me know if you've tried this with both keys? I just want to make sure we cover all our bases here.
Also, which version of the desktop app do you have installed at the moment?

Hi Daphne, I tried both.... it's not working
maybe important, it always stop around 1,2 GB (33HRS)
but is's stil syncing.....
version 112.4.321
Thanks for checking that @martine ter Linden.
Out of curiosity, can you try following the steps outlined here to see if this will resolve the syncing issue for the moment?
This is just another way to fix permissions, so that your files can at least finish syncing while we look into the issue with not seeing the option via the app preferences.
