Upgraded to Catalina, re-installed Dropbox from the DMG file, get "No Permission to sync". What is the fix? -Frank

Also having this problem.
I have tried
#1. reinstalling dropbox
#2. following the instructions from this article https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/sync-uploads/stuck-syncing#permission
nothing has worked. please help.

Could you try temporarily closing any third party app, like security and antivirus software, that's hindering the desktop app from running correctly?

Could you clarify where there Dropbox folder was placed? Was it an external hard drive by any chance?
