Dropbox is displaying different overlay icons on files and folders, which do not appear to be described by the service. For example, updated files often have a blue box with two close-brackets, rather than a green check mark, but the green check mark returns a day or two later. Additionally, some files have a gray box with a diagonal white line (not a check mark), and I can find no explanation. A comprehensive list of all overlay icons will be helpful. (Windows 10).
Not all of those overlays are from Dropbox. If you're running multiple cloud storage services, they could be interfering with each other.
