When to the dropbox icon on my desktop, but i do not see a gear icon to click to get to the preferences. It just takes me to the folders in explorer.

Hey Donna,
Thanks for letting us know about the OS you are working on!
Please note that if you are on a Windows computer, the dropbox icon appears on the bottom right-hand corner and either when you right/ left click on it, there is a pop-up box appearing.
There, once you click on the application on your system tray, the gear icon is on the top-right hand corner, as per the image below:
Can you locate it there?
Please let me know in your reply!
Kind regards,
JaneA

Maybe I need a picture of where and whatthe gear should look like as well.
I have tried every which way from Sunday to insert pictures from my desktop, but this system will never show them or even take them. I do not know what else to do.
Donna
The 'cog' icon is on the Dropbox software on your computer.

I never see a window like that. When I click the dropbox icon on the task bar it opens windows explorer and the dropdob folder in there.

Hi Mark,
A singleleft click is what I do and explorer opens. Left, right, sing or double clicks never do I see the image you posted.
