My Dropbox desktop app is stuck syncing. How can I fix this?

The Dropbox icon it says updating Dropbox account. It has been doing this for over a week. I found a solution to the problem on this forum, but I don't have the expertise to go in and fix the problem. It has to do with Dell Recovery

Hi there @islemosaic, welcome to the Community!

If I understand correctly, your Dropbox desktop app is stuck in syncing mode, correct?

Could you hover over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar and see if you have the current stable version of the Dropbox desktop app (81.4.195)?

Also, if you could share the thread you are referring to here for more clarification.
