My Dropbox icon is still grey and can't access my account. How can I fix this?

I have successfully re-set my password on my NEW laptop and have been able to view the items I had saved on my OLD laptop.  However, the Dropbox icon at the top of my screen is still "GREYED OUT"...so I cannot access Dropbox from my new computer.  How to I activate that icon?

Hey there @cwillett

I moved your post from this thread as your concern is different than the one being reported and to ensure troubleshooting for you. 

Having said that, in order to have a better understanding of what you're seeing, could you please clarify for me if you were able to sign in to your Dropbox account via the desktop app?

Could you also send me a screenshot (without any personal info) of any error messages, along with what you see when you hover over the Dropbox icon that's next to your computer's clock?
