My app can't connect to Dropbox and I can't find my data

My app can't connect to Dropbox and I can't find my data

FrankKosko

I use an app called My Medical and am using iPadOS 13 beta 6. Last night I performed a bunch of updates and today, all of my data is gone and am unable to connect to Dropbox. When attempting to connect to Dropbox it tells me my Dropbox is out-of-date, which it is not. The connection to Dropbox freezes. Please help! I have over 4 years of data missing for three people at the moment.

Thanks for getting back to me, @FrankKosko

Since you're able to preview the files through the Dropbox website but not through the third party app, I'd recommend you contact them as they may have more info on the matter.

In the meantime, if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to get back to me.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi there @FrankKosko

Could you please elaborate a bit on this so as to have a better understanding of your concern? For example:

  • Did you have these files and folders originally in your Dropbox account?
  • If you did, are you able to locate them in your Dropbox account via the website?
  • If not, were they stored on the third party app you mention?
  • Could you also send me a screenshot (without any personal info) of the error message you mention?

Any additional info would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Yes, an older version of the files are in Dropbox.

Yes, I am able to see them in my Dropbox app as well as Dropbox's website.

If, by third party app you mean My Medical, then yes, they used to be there.

I am unable to get a screenshot of the error. It just tells me this version of Dropbox is out-of-date, which it is not.

Not sure what else I can say other than POOF, data on the third party app is gone.

Maybe it's something to do with the iPadOS beta 6 program I am in.
