My desktop app has been syncing for 12 days now. Can you help?

My desktop app has been syncing for 12 days now. Can you help?

Explorer | Level 4

I've just switched all my cloud backups to Dropbox of which I have approx 500 GB of data.  Sync has been running continuously for about 12 days now at an upload speed of 143 KB/s, which is slow; however, calculates at 17 hours.

  • Is there another way I can copy the files into the Dropbox cloud storage, then just ask it to sync with the files that are already on my hard drive?
  • Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Hi @AaronCo; thanks for posting on our Community and happy Monday!

I'm sorry to hear about your syncing issue and I'd like to help as much as possible.

To do so, can you please let me know the exact status of the app as shown within your computer's system tray/menu bar?

Have you by any chance tried to change your bandwidth settings through the app's preferences to see if this improves matters?

Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there, Aaron.
