My desktop app is constantly connecting, and I can open my files but not edit them

I got a new a computer and downloaded drop box to it. It says that everything has synced and I can see everything but it says "Connecting" and I cannot save any edits that I make, I can only view files, not edit them. Any tips on how I can fully access my files and folders again?

Hey there @knest, welcome to the Dropbox Community!

 

As a first step, could you temporarily close any third party app, including any security software or antivirus that you may have running, that could be hindering the desktop app from running accordingly?
